The problem was clear. The solution had to be built from scratch.
Recruiting across 15 countries, in 33 languages, with 120+ HR professionals spread across multiple markets is not something you fix with a spreadsheet or an off-the-shelf tool. Manual evaluations were slow. Candidate experience was inconsistent. And the HR team was spending hundreds of hours on work that should not require human judgment at all.
So we built something different.
What is HR Days and why does this award matter?
HR Days is one of the leading HR conferences in the region, bringing together HR professionals, business leaders, and innovators from across Southeast Europe. Each year, alongside the conference, Alma Career Croatia runs the Best Regional HR Practice award, recognizing companies that have implemented real, measurable HR projects with lasting business impact.
Projects are evaluated by an independent jury of senior HR professionals and scored against strict criteria: the strength of the idea, the quality of implementation, the measurable results, and the broader value delivered to the organization and its people. The audience at HR Days also contributes their vote, making it one of the most transparent recognition programs in the region.
In 2026, Mplus competed in the Enterprise category, reserved for organizations with 1,000 or more employees, and took 1st place.
What we built
The Mplus AI Recruitment Suite is two tools working as one system, developed in 16 weeks by a joint team of 10 HR specialists and 5 technology experts from Graia, our majority-owned AI capability company.

The first tool is the AI Language Assessment Tool. It evaluates written language tests automatically, using defined criteria, and delivers detailed results in under 10 seconds. Before this tool existed, the same evaluation took up to 30 minutes per candidate and required manual review from an HR specialist.
Today, evaluation time is down 99%, with 95%+ consistency across results. The tool is fully integrated into the existing evaluation platform and ATS, meaning HR teams see results without changing their workflow.
The second tool is the AI Recruitment Assistant. It gives candidates 24/7 access to answers about open roles, working conditions, salary transparency in line with EU directives, and the application process. It handles job matching based on submitted CVs and processes applications directly. Candidates no longer wait. HR teams no longer answer the same questions repeatedly. And the data collected builds a clearer picture of who is applying and why.
Together, the two tools have saved our HR team hundreds of hours of manual work, standardized the recruitment process across three countries, and significantly improved the candidate experience.
What this signals
The HR Days award is a recognition of the project. But what the project itself represents is more important.
HR at Mplus is no longer just an operational function. It is becoming a direct driver of business value, built on data, AI, and full accountability to outcomes. The same thinking that powers how we design and operate customer experience for our clients is now reshaping how we hire, evaluate, and engage talent internally.
This is what Experience Intelligence looks like in practice. AI and human expertise engineered together. Not replacing judgment, but freeing people to apply it where it matters most.
We built this in-house. Powered by Graia. And we are already expanding it further.
