Zagreb, Croatia, September 12th, 2024 – Bruna Kostelac Košir, Chief People Officer at Mplus, the BPTO vertical of BOSQAR INVEST recently discussed the evolving dynamics of the workplace with the Croatian media outlet 24sata

The interview anticipates her forthcoming participation at HR.Weekend, scheduled to take place from September 19th to 22nd during the Weekend Media Festival in Rovinj, Croatia.

During her interview, Kostelac Košir highlighted that work models are at the forefront of considerations for both employees and employers in the post-pandemic era.

“The shift towards these new models often calls for a radical rethinking of business strategies to adapt successfully,” she pointed out.

Hybrid Work: A New Standard?

The hybrid model, integrating in-office and remote work, has been embraced by many for its balance of professional and personal life.

While Kostelac Košir acknowledged the benefits of such flexibility, she also pointed out the complexities it introduces in terms of cost and resource management.

“Sustaining performance in a hybrid setup is an ongoing challenge for businesses,” Mplus’s Chief People Officer noted, adding that careful planning was key for the effective implementation of hybrid or remote work models.

She also noted that considerations like digital infrastructure, industry demands, and leadership are crucial to ensure a successful setup, as inadequate implementation can lead to diminished employee satisfaction and weaker teamwork.

“At Mplus, we adopt a structured, project-based approach to smoothly transition into these models,” she explained.

Flexibility: An Expectation, Not Just a Benefit

According to the most recent study conducted by Mplus and its sister company, Manpower Croatia, flexibility has transitioned from a mere perk to a fundamental expectation among job seekers.

The shift indicates a profound change in workplace culture.

The full findings of the study are set to be presented at HR.Weekend in Rovinj.

Talking to 24sata, Kostelac Košir emphasized that organizations that accommodate this need for flexibility are more likely to attract and retain top talent.

“The work culture must evolve as new generations demand a more significant balance between their personal and professional lives. Employers who find optimal models will not only adapt but also drive future workplace trends,” she added.

“Mplus is committed to leading the way in adopting new technologies to meet these challenges,” Mplus’s Chief People Officer concluded.
