Zagreb, Croatia, July 24, 2025 - From July 14 to 18, the Mplus group launched its first Culture Week, a global initiative aimed at bringing the company’s core values to life through meaningful stories, collaborative experiences, and shared celebration.
Mplus Culture Week activities, which spanned nine Mplus countries including Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Germany, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Turkey, were not conceived as a standalone event or a symbolic gesture; it was a living reflection of how the organization sees its identity.

As stated by Tomislav Glavaš, Group CEO of Mplus, in his opening message:
“Culture is what binds us together and makes us one team. With nearly 15,000 employees across different countries and backgrounds, our shared values - Passion, Unity, Customer Focus, Think Big, and Respect – are what make Mplus unique and successful. Culture Week is not just a celebration; it’s a moment to reflect on who we are and how we want to treat each other and our clients.”
This message set the tone for a week full of immersive activities, employee stories, and cross-border collaboration.
One of the cornerstones of Culture Week was a rich series of seven podcast episodes, featuring 16 speakers from across the Mplus network. These podcasts explored everything from lessons learned through customer experience, to career journeys, expat stories, and the human side of culture at Mplus. What made these conversations truly impactful was not just their depth, but their authenticity – the voices of real people sharing real experiences.

To further foster cultural exchange, Mplus introduced a Recipe Exchange initiative, in which each country was assigned a dish from another Mplus region. Offices turned into makeshift kitchens where colleagues cooked, tasted, and connected through food, breaking down barriers – one dish at a time. Employees not only shared meals but also shared the stories and traditions behind them, enriching understanding and celebrating cultural diversity.

In parallel, the Move & Groove Challenge invited employees from all countries to track their daily steps, support one another, and work together toward a common goal. Each Mplus country formed a team, and success was measured by the average number of steps per participant. It didn’t matter how far each individual walked—every step counted.
The challenge brought together nine teams from across the region. In just five days, participants collectively took an incredible 14,957,032 steps, covering approximately 11,218 kilometers, which is nearly a quarter of Earth’s circumference.
The average number of steps per person was 54,787 - roughly the length of a full marathon. But one team went far beyond: the winning team recorded an average of 92,327 steps per participant, nearly double the group average, earning them the team award.
The individual prize was awarded to the top stepper across the Group, who logged an impressive 330,268 steps - roughly the distance from Zagreb to Madrid, or nearly the full stretch from New York to Washington, D.C. A true journey on foot!
The Move & Groove Challenge proved that wellness, motivation, and team spirit can all walk hand in hand, step by step, across borders.
Another activity that sparked joy, and meaning was the Mplus Kids Drawing Challenge, where children of employees interpreted Mplus core values through art. It served as a colorful and heartwarming reminder of why Mplus values matter – not just in the workplace, but in the lives we lead outside it.
The spirit of giving was also front and center. Teams across regions engaged in volunteering and donation activities, contributing time, resources, and care to local communities. These acts of service reflected the company’s belief that empathy and social responsibility are inseparable from a strong workplace culture.

And while many Mplus employees work remotely, over 85%, in fact, the week proved that connection isn’t defined by proximity.

A Culture That Lives Beyond One Week
At its core, Culture Week was about much more than scheduling engaging content or celebrating diversity. It was about creating space for shared meaning and everyday values. At Mplus, culture isn’t confined to a single campaign. It lives in how meetings are run, how feedback is offered, how mistakes are handled, and how support is extended. It is present in the small, consistent actions that shape the tone of collaboration and connection.

The slogan “People Inspired by People” isn’t just a tagline; it’s a belief that how people treat one another is foundational to success. Whether remote or on-site, each employee is more than just a name on a screen. They are a vital part of a team that listens, supports, and celebrates progress together.

As the week came to a close, Bruna Kostelac Košir, Chief People Officer at Mplus, offered a heartfelt reflection:
“This week wasn’t just about activities; it was about building meaningful connections. We saw our values in action. And we saw the power of what happens when people across teams, roles, and countries come together with purpose.
However, Culture Week doesn’t end here. Our culture is something we shape every day, in how we show up, support one another, and grow together. Let’s keep that energy going and keep building the kind of Mplus we’re proud to be part of.”
